Summer 2026 IT Settlements Internship - Programmer / Developer!

Join Southwest Power Pool (SPP) this summer as an IT Intern and gain hands-on experience developing and supporting software that powers the financial operations of SPP's Market and Transmission services. As part of the IT Settlements Team, you'll :

• Work on real-world projects that impact the energy sector and SPP stakeholders
• Enhance, maintain, and support custom software solutions while learning best practices in software development
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), gaining practical experience in design, coding, testing, and deployment
• Learn how to apply security and compliance standards in enterprise IT environments

This internship is a chance to build critical technical skills, collaborate with experienced professionals, and see how your work directly contributes to the operations of a major energy organization.

What We're Looking For

Work Environment :

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This is a temporary, onsite summer 2026 internship. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

Travel Requirement :

This position requires no travel
