Wilkie Sanderson, a leading Commercial Millwork company based out of Sauk Rapids, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading engineering projects, designing and implementing solutions, and mentoring the development of team members.

- Essential Job Functions :
- Product Engineering
- : Utilize shop drawings created by drafters to engineer millwork products, ensuring they meet design specifications, functionality, and manufacturability standards.
- CNC Programming
- : Develop and generate programs for CNC routers.
- Software Proficiency
- : Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Cabinet Vision, or Microvellum) is required.
- Collaboration
- : Work closely with production staff, drafters, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of engineered products into the production workflow.
- Continuous Improvement
- : Contribute to the ongoing improvement of engineering processes, demonstrating an open mind and a willingness to adapt and improve historical practices.
- Quality Assurance
- : Provide production staff with complete and well-thought-out engineering designs, ensuring all products meet quality standards and client specifications.
- Problem-Solving
- : Address and resolve any engineering issues that arise during the production process, maintaining clear and effective communication with all relevant departments.
- Education / Experience / Skills :
- Required :
- Minimum of a 2-year degree in engineering, drafting, or a related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience. or 5+ years of combined drafting / engineering experience in a related field.
- Familiarity with CAD drafting software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, etc.)
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings and / or engineering prints
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external clients.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for precision and accuracy in CAD drafting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
- Desired :
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Construction Technology, Architectural Drafting and Design, Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of millwork fabrication processes.
- Experience with 3D software (Solidworks, Inventor, etc.)
