Must-Have : Ability to pass Basic Dysrhythmia test

Description :

Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.

A Basic Dysrhythmia test out will be given during the first week of assignment.

This must be passed in order to work on the telemetry / med surg unit.

Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.

Effectively interacts with patients and significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.

Provides high-quality care to patient populations including geriatric, medical / surgical, adult, and telemetry.

Floating is a requirement for non-critical care inpatient units including to the emergency department if there are boarded patients.

If the traveler has critical care experience, they may occasionally float to critical care units.

Every other weekend rotation is required.

Cerner EMR is used.

Telemetry ratios are currently 1 : 4 on days and 1 : 5 on nights.

Medical / surgical ratios are currently 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 6 on nights.

BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
