Effectively communicate both verbally and written with all members of the health care team. Assist health care team in the administration of treatment plans and health checks. Administer medications and injections, take vital signs, perform basic diagnostic tests and dress wounds per the health care provider’s orders and in accordance with federal, state, local and facility policies and procedures. Observe, evaluate and report changes in patient symptoms, condition, and / or reactions to medications or treatments. Assist and support staff by responding to patient call lights, answer telephones, pass meal trays and transport residents. Observe, evaluate and report changes in patient condition. Communicate with patients and their families to provide a thorough understanding of their treatment plans. Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff. Strong clinical skills and ability to react decisively in emergency situations. - Pittsburgh Weekday and Weekend Shift Availability Field Staff Entry Level We have an opportunity available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide medical care for skilled nursing residents in a Long-Term Care Facility / Nursing Home in Pittsburgh.
- As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and coordinate care delivery, which will ensure that patients' needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local guidelines. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing superior care through a demonstrated understanding of patient needs.
