Overview
Claims Administrator position in Raleigh, NC at Construction Partners, Inc. (CPI). CPI is a vertically integrated civil infrastructure company operating across eight southeastern states, supported by hot-mix asphalt plants, aggregate facilities and liquid asphalt terminals, focusing on the construction, repair and maintenance of surface infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze new and ongoing claims asserted against CPI and / or its platform companies (worker's compensation, automobile liability, auto property damage, equipment or other property damage, general liability, employment, etc.)
- Collaborate with a team of risk personnel, third-party attorneys, adjusters, resolution managers and insurers to manage claims as part of self-insured retention / captive insurance program
- Collect and analyze raw data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and other helpful information
- Utilize data to develop and optimize strategies and processes, increase efficiency, quality, or security, and reduce costs
- Provide management with administrative support as needed
- Interact with colleagues, public agencies, vendors, developers, contractors, consultants and the general public in a professional, courteous and appropriate manner
- Assist Management with incident / accident / claim investigations as needed
- Execute special projects as directed by the Vice President of Risk
Qualifications
Bachelor's or other degree in risk management, business, legal, paralegal or related field or relevant industry experienceMinimum of 3 years previous experience in claims preparation, filing, review, and adjustment (preferred, not required)Familiarity with risk management information systems (RMIS), claims processing programs, accounting and / or record keeping softwareFamiliarity with resolving or managing insurance claims in particular worker's compensation, automobile liability, auto property damage, equipment or other property damage, general liability, and / or employment liability insurance claims (preferred, not required)Active adjuster license(s) or ability to seek or obtain in Southeastern states (preferred, not required)Strong investigation, reserving, and negotiation skills; litigation management experience (preferred, not required)Strong data analytics skills and use of Excel or similar programsPrevious experience interpreting legal contracts and insurance agreements (preferred, not required)Previous administrative experience in the construction industry (preferred, not required)Bilingual – read / write both English & Spanish fluently (preferred, not required)The position will report directly to the Vice President of Risk.
This is an in-person, in-office position. Local applicants are preferred.
