Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front-end leaning, Full Stack Engineer to join our Toast Infra squad. You will play a crucial role in building impactful features for Soundcheck, our Backstage plugin designed to help platform organizations measure and enhance the tech health of their teams. As part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to the development and improvement of our platform ecosystem, ensuring efficient scaling and delivering a seamless experience for our users. You will work in a collaborative environment, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to create solutions that drive significant value.

What you'll do

Be an active and collaborative member of an autonomous agile team, continuously experimenting, iterating, and delivering on product objectives within Spotify's Backstage open-source ecosystem.

Drive the development and enhancement of features for the Soundcheck Backstage plugin, focusing on improving tech health measurement and reporting capabilities for platform organizations.

Collaborate closely with product owners and engineers to tackle complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.

Deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code, ensuring the robustness and reliability of our platform.

Ensure an exceptional user experience for our customers, continuously improving the usability and functionality of the Soundcheck plugin.

Contribute to the design and architecture of new systems and features within the Backstage ecosystem.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Who you are

• You are passionate about delivering end-to-end initiatives across the stack, with 5 years experience and a strong interest in contributing to web frontends.
• You are comfortable leading projects and designing new systems using modern web development practices, including TypeScript, JavaScript ecosystem, and React framework.
• You have a solid understanding of testing, debugging, and automation techniques.
• You prioritize user experience and design, striving to build user-friendly and intuitive interfaces.
• You are a quick learner and thrive in a collaborative team environment, effectively translating product requirements into technical solutions.
• You embrace ambiguity and enjoy proactively driving solutions to challenging problems.
