job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPosition Summary : Roberts Energy is seeking an experienced, driven Service Technician to lead our growing HVAC Oil and Propane Division. This key leadership role will oversee day-to-day operations, manage a team of technicians, drive service excellence, and ensure the division operates profitably. The ideal candidate will be skilled in estimating, team leadership, customer relations, and operational efficiency.

- Key Responsibilities :
- Team Management :
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC technicians, installers, and support staff across the location.
- Project Estimating :
- Conduct site visits and prepare accurate, competitive estimates for HVAC installations, replacements, and service work.
- Operational Oversight :
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of service calls, installs, and preventative maintenance work.
- Customer Engagement :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for both technicians and customers to resolve issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Profitability & Efficiency :
- Manage labor, material, and overhead costs to ensure the division meets or exceeds financial targets.
- Compliance :
- Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Roberts Energy’s safety and quality standards.
- Scheduling & Dispatching :
- Oversee scheduling of daily operations and optimize workforce utilization.
- Vendor Management :
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
- Reporting :
- Review regular performance reports with senior leadership, including revenue, job completion metrics, and profitability.
- Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC service and installation
- Proven ability to manage teams, meet deadlines, and drive profitability
- Strong estimating and job costing skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, local codes, and best practices
- Experience with HVAC service software and project management tools
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within district as needed
- VT licensed propane piping and service technician
- EPA Universal certification

Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours : 40 – 50 per week
