DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a trainee, you will engage in skilled and technical tasks related to the maintenance, operation, and regulatory compliance of a sewage treatment plant, along with its sewage collection and potable water disinfection systems. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the operation, maintenance, evaluation, and repair of various equipment such as electric motors, pumps, compressors, valves, sand filters, chlorinators, aerators, water softeners, flow meters, and liquid level mercury switches. Additionally, you will support the upkeep and repair of buildings and grounds within park facilities, which encompasses tasks like lawn mowing, weeding, and landscaping.
Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment,
- Work hours are 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM, 5 days a week
- This position performs duties that are executed seven days a week and will be routinely scheduled to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed for park operations and to meet seasonal needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :
Six months of building maintenance or trades experience; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Special Requirements :
This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.All employees must obtain, within the probationary period, a valid Operator's Certificate, or an Operator in Training Designation issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator that is equal to or greater than the classification and subclassification of the wastewater system to be operated or maintained. The Sewage Plant : Class C&E, Subclass Check Activated Sludge (1) and Ponds and Lagoons (3).Other Requirements :
