We are looking for a competitive, self-motivated individual to join our sales team covering the DC area and eastern seaboard. This hybrid role blends technical expertise with entry-level product sales and is ideal for a Senior Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect interested in transitioning into a full-time sales position.
You will use your technical knowledge and relationship-building skills to work with vendors, partners, and system integrators to deliver optimal solutions for customers. On the sales side, you will be mentored by a 20-year sales veteran who transitioned from a technical background to a successful enterprise sales career.

Required Qualifications :
5+ years in a pre-sales or similar customer-facing technical roleExperience in High Performance Computing (HPC)Familiarity with cloud-based protocols, services, and terminology.Knowledge of parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS)Experience with archive storage solutionsFederal market experienceStrong planning and time management skillsHelpful Experience :
Understanding of cloud data storage conceptsAbility to articulate the value proposition of a solutionFamiliarity with the data storage, backup software and data archivesKnowledge of HPC workflows and ecosystem.Working knowledge of S3, ObjectStorage, NAS systems and ZFSUnderstanding of backup and archive methodologiesExposure to data migration strategies; scripting experience is a plusKnowledge of storage arrays, networking protocols, and multi-platform enterprise connectivityStrong writing, verbal, and presentation skillsExperience networking with partners, resellers, and end usersAbility to create and manage quotes, revenue tracking, and gross profit analysisExperience with prospecting, lead generation, and developing sales timelinesEducation :
Preferred : Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical / business field
Alternate : Degree in another field with relevant technical experience
Compensation :
$180,000-205,000 Total Cash at Target (a mix of base +commissions)
