Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol in Olympia, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within a dynamic tech and media environment. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents, while you perform routine patrols and maintain visibility. You'll interact with employees and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and communication, all while leveraging technology to support your duties. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues. Working environments and conditions may vary based on the site.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns, documenting findings clearly and promptly for Allied Universal and / or client review.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client staff to support the overall security-related objectives of the location.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, or other disruptions.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A minimum of two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
