We are seeking a Service Manager to build and scale our service department, ensuring operational excellence while driving growth and customer satisfaction.
Position Overview
The Service Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, with a strong focus on sales growth, customer experience, and team development . This leader will implement industry best practices, coach technicians on service excellence, and conduct safety inspections that identify customer needs and revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales & Business Development :
- Develop and grow the service department through new customer acquisition and expanded offerings.
- Create and promote service agreements, generator maintenance plans, and safety upgrades.
- Build relationships with homeowners, property managers, and businesses to expand Ross Electric’s footprint.
Customer Experience & Quality Control :
Train technicians to deliver outstanding service and communication at every visit.Standardize best practices to ensure consistent, professional customer experiences.Lead initiatives such as in-home inspections to uncover safety issues, hazards, and upgrade opportunities.Team Leadership :
Coach and mentor service technicians to improve performance, sales techniques, and customer relations.Set clear KPIs and hold the team accountable to service, safety, and revenue goals.Support technicians with resources, scheduling, and tools needed to succeed.Operational Management :
Oversee scheduling, dispatch, and workflow to maximize technician efficiency.Track key performance indicators such as close rates, revenue per call, and customer satisfaction.Continuously refine systems and processes to improve profitability and operational flow.Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in service management, operations, or business development in a trades or service industry (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).Proven ability to drive sales growth and implement customer-focused processes.Strong leadership and communication skills with experience coaching field teams.Familiarity with service management software (ServiceTitan or similar) preferred.Background in electrical or generator service strongly preferred, but not required.Compensation & Benefits :
