SUBCONTRACT COORDINATOR

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Subcontract Coordinator to support EPC construction site operations in Amarillo, TX. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction project coordination, subcontract administration, and field support. The Subcontract Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring subcontractors meet project schedules, safety standards, and contractual requirements.

Pay Rate

$58.00 per hour + Overtime per diem (if applicable)

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 am to 7 : 00 pm. Overtime on Saturdays

Subcontract Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between subcontractors and site / project management.
  • Coordinate subcontractor onboarding, site access, and compliance with safety and training requirements.
  • Review, prepare, and maintain subcontract agreements, work orders, and change requests.
  • Track subcontractor progress, deliverables, and performance to ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, work scopes, and manpower reports.
  • Verify subcontractor documentation, including insurance, certifications, and licenses.
  • Assist with bid solicitations, subcontractor evaluations, and procurement coordination.
  • Communicate any project changes, schedule adjustments, or site requirements promptly to all parties.
  • Support project management with cost tracking, invoice verification, and contract closeout activities.

Subcontractor Coordinator Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in subcontract coordination, construction administration, or site project support.
  • Strong understanding of construction site operations, subcontracting processes, and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on active construction sites and manage multiple subcontractor teams.
  • Must be able to travel and work on-site for extended periods if required.
