$2,416 per week

About The Position

Job Title : ICU Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : ICU

Duration : 14 weeks

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour and Day 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years required

License : Active Nursing License required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS required

Must-Have :

  • Bedside Shift Reporting (BSSR) required.
  • Utilization of AIDET required.
  • Hourly rounding required.
  • Float to MS / Tele and IMC required.
  • Possible ED float.

Description :

ICU nurses monitor telemetry patients.

Patient ratios vary by shift.

RNs are expected to float within the hospital as needed.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary assistance.

RNs will be required to manage and care for various patient diagnoses.

Prior charge experience is preferred.

Candidates must have experience with accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and care of ventilated patients.

Strong skills in blood product administration, central line care, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction are essential.

Familiarity with interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias is required.

Infection prevention measures must be practiced, along with maintaining isolation precautions.

Candidates should have the ability to perform procedural sedation administration and monitoring.

Knowledge of high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and use of hypothermia protocols is needed.

RNs are expected to start and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy, and manage surgical wounds with drains.

Continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips are part of the role.

Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of emergency medications and acute stroke management.
