Overview

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, with the ability to design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, project scheduling proficiency, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product and equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs feasible for current manufacturing methods and facilities.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of new designs or facility modifications by considering costs, available space, time limitations, company objectives, and technical / economic factors.
  • Provide technical information regarding manufacturing techniques, materials, properties, and limitations to support long-range product and plant engineering planning.
  • Collaborate with operations to resolve issues and develop manufacturable designs that align with product intent.
  • Prepare layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
  • Assign part numbers for item identification and upload them into SAP.
  • Create and maintain bills of materials (BOM) and costing in SAP.
  • Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for new or modified designs.
  • Plan and develop experimental test programs to validate design performance.
  • Analyze test data and prepare reports to confirm compliance with specifications and performance requirements.
  • Recommend and implement design modifications as needed.
  • Evaluate engineering test results for potential application in system or product development.
  • Perform additional engineering support tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) plus 2–4 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills : Proficient with CAD tools, SAP (preferred), and general engineering software. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and email / Internet communication.
  • Mathematical Skills : Proficiency in geometry, trigonometry, probability, statistical inference, ratios, and proportions as applied to practical engineering problems.
  • Reasoning Ability : Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, evaluate facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Frequently required to stand, sit, reach with arms, talk, and hear.
  • Occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and / or move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
