Assistant / Associate Professor - Agricultural Education

About This Role

The Assistant / Associate Professor in Agricultural Education is a 12-month, tenure-track faculty appointment with 70% teaching and 30% research responsibilities within the Department of Communications and Agricultural Education.

• Teach, advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the agricultural education program.
• Develop and redesign courses and curriculum to meet the needs of students.
• Advise student organizations, assist with student recruitment and placement and supervisor student interns.
• Conduct scholarly activities relevant to departmental / college initiatives; secure extramural funding for those activities; serve on external agricultural education-related boards and departmental, college, and university committees.
• This position may require work to be performed outside of normal business hours for activities such as : recruitment, advising student organizations, sponsoring and chaperoning student travel, conference hosting / attendance, grant-funded projects, international travel, etc.

The degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.

candidate must present a demonstrated record of scholarly activity in

teaching and research commensurate with the Associate level.
