Job Title : Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

AWHONN Intermediate course required (can be obtained before start).

Must-Have :

Travel experience in Labor and Delivery.

Familiarity with a variety of clinical procedures and patient management in labor and delivery.

Description :

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.

The role requires nursing experience in a labor and delivery setting.

Candidates must demonstrate expertise in handling patients during labor and delivery.

Experience in performing non-stress tests and performing reflex checks is essential.

Knowledge of external and internal fetal monitoring is required.

Candidates should be proficient in managing high-risk deliveries and postpartum care.

Familiarity with administering medications such as magnesium sulfate and Pitocin is necessary.

The position may require floating to other departments for specialized care.

Nurses will assist in vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as needed.

Assessment and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns are crucial aspects of the role.

Nurses will need to manage postpartum complications and provide thorough patient education.

The position entails working weekends and holidays as required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for successful collaboration with the healthcare team.
