Job Title : Radiologic / Scrub Tech Department : Operations
Reports To : Center Operations Manager Status : Full Time / Non-Exempt

The technologist assists physicians in performing diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors and assists patients before, during and after procedures to include proper positioning, prep and drape.
- Able to scrub and circulate in various IR areas for multiple procedure types.
- Turns over and prepares rooms using aseptic technique between patients, assures all equipment and supplies are readily available for procedures.
- Flexible team player comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
- Knowledge of arterial and venous anatomy as it pertains to interventional procedures.
- Manage inventory
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Current BLS for the healthcare provider.Active and unrestricted RT license in the state of Virginia, if applicable (for RT position, not required for Scrub Tech).Minimum 1 year clinical experience. Interventional Radiology experience preferred.ARRT or equivalent (for RT position, not required for Scrub Tech)Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. These include, but are not limited to, sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time, lifting, pulling, moving patients / objects >50 pounds, and repetitive motions.
Ability to multitask, prioritizes effectively, and works as part of a team.
