Summary of Position Functions
The Project Developer will conduct energy audits, design energy conservation measures, calculate energy savings, bid and negotiate subcontractor costs, support sales, and assist in constructing energy conservation projects. The role ensures projects meet budget and timeline expectations, comply with laws, and adhere to specifications.
Essential Position Functions
- Perform or supervise energy audits, modeling, measurement, verification, or retro-commissioning studies.
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior staff.
- Present to diverse audiences.
- Lead energy-related design or construction issues, including energy engineering and sustainable design.
- Analyze energy data using engineering software.
- Attend technical meetings and design reviews.
- Communicate project expectations clearly and timely to team members and stakeholders.
- Advise clients and colleagues on climate control systems, energy modeling, data logging, sustainable design, and auditing.
- Review architectural, mechanical, or electrical plans for energy efficiency.
- Maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare energy project reports and technical documentation per standards.
- Research latest renewable energy systems and technologies.
- Support sales teams, collaborating internally and with customers.
- Assist with funding sources and procurement processes.
- Track project activities and ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct preliminary site walks to identify EEMs and develop tailored solutions.
- Provide technical expertise during sales presentations and meetings.
- Coordinate with customer representatives and utilities for energy data analysis.
- Innovate and improve development processes through stakeholder communication.
- Participate in industry events and customer interactions.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience with measures common in government projects, including water and wastewater treatment, street lighting.Minimum two years in project development; more for senior roles.Desired : Two years of Energy Engineering experience.Experience with MS Project, Microsoft Office, RS Means, and other standard software.Proven ability to manage budgets and collaborate with subcontractors and A / E teams, verified by references.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Professional Engineering (PE) License in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.Travel Requirement
