Since our founding in 1975, we’ve been deeply rooted in providing housing services to the most vulnerable and have expanded into providing permanent supportive housing, and person-centered home care in communities across Massachusetts. As demand for our services grows, Mainstay is entering a pivotal phase focused on expanding our impact and deepening our financial sustainability.

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate Home Health Aide to join our dedicated in-home care team. This part-time role focuses on providing one-on-one support to older adults living in their own homes across the Spencer and Sturbridge area. By assisting with everyday tasks and building meaningful connections, you will help clients age in place safely and with dignity—avoiding institutional care and maintaining their independence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct care and support for activities of daily living (ADLs), including :

Light meal preparation

Personal hygiene and grooming assistance

Light housekeeping and tidying

Medication reminder

Companionship

Deliver one hour of individualized care per client visit

Support and encourage client participation in their care plans

Promote a safe, clean, and respectful home environment

Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and families

Document services accurately and in a timely manner

Availability : You are interested in a part-time schedule working Sunday - Tuesday (approximately 4-5 hours per day).

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in home care, elder services, or direct support roles

Background in social work, human services, or related field is a plus

Comfortable traveling between client homes in Spencer and Sturbridge, MA

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
