Senior Training and Education Coordinator

Seattle City Light is seeking two Senior Training & Education Coordinators to join the Workforce Education and Engagement team within the People and Culture business unit. The ideal candidate will be passionate about people development, committed to creating engaging learner experiences, and focused on fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering programs, while building strong relationships across departments and driving professional development initiatives that enhance employee growth. This is a hybrid position based in Seattle with in-person work on-site at least three days a week.

This position reports to the Workforce Education and Engagement Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Training Coordination : Design and evaluate safety and technical training programs that meet organizational needs.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Building : Partner with leadership and stakeholders to ensure training aligns with business needs.
  • Project & Program Management : Lead training initiatives from planning to execution, meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Employee Development : Assess workforce needs and implement solutions that promote growth across the employee lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement : Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend enhancements to strengthen learning outcomes.
  • Budget Oversight : Manage training budgets and ensure cost-effective program delivery.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications : Education : Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Science, Business or Public Administration, or related field (other combinations of education, training and experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
  • Experience : Three years professional experience in adult training / education administration, training project management, and / or educational consulting.
  • Certification / License : Current Washington State driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Desired Qualifications : Demonstrated ability to build relationships with leadership and teams, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a growth mindset to embrace organizational change.
  • Additional Information

    The full salary range for this position is $45.74 to $53.27 per hour.
