Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist / Administrative Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This position plays a key role in overseeing payroll operations, managing timekeeping systems, and maintaining HR data accuracy. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws while supporting HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & HR Operations

  • Serve as process owner for timekeeping systems and provide backup payroll processing support.
  • Maintain, audit, and process employee attendance and payroll data with precision and confidentiality.
  • Manage employee information in the HRIS and fulfill reporting requests as needed.
  • Generate reports on attendance and absences to support compliance and departmental needs.
  • Support HR audits, document control, and recordkeeping processes in alignment with compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with the Safety team to track participation in safety-related meetings.

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

  • Identify and implement process improvements across payroll and HR systems.
  • Assist with training and communication on HR procedures and tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth HR and administrative operations.
  • Provide exceptional support to employees and leadership on payroll or policy-related inquiries.

  • Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum 3 years in payroll administration, HRIS management, or related HR support role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, timekeeping practices, and HR compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams and HR projects is preferred.
