Database Developer

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Database Developer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Database Developer designs, develops, and maintains database systems to support applications and business operations. Their responsibilities include creating and modifying database schemas, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. They collaborate with other developers and analysts to integrate databases with various systems. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. This position is located in USA VA Arlington; hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

• Designing efficient and scalable database structures to meet application and user needs.
• Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Developing and maintaining data models and database schemas.
• Optimizing database performance through query tuning, index optimization, and other techniques.
• Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security through various measures.
• Working with software engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate databases with applications and systems.
• Identifying and resolving database-related issues, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring smooth operation.
• Creating and maintaining documentation for database designs, code, and procedures.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $150000.00.
