Responsibilities Work in the Operating Room of a Level I trauma hospital Serve a broad surgical patient population including robotics, ortho, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma cases Day shifts (3x12 hours), 7 : 00 to 19 : 30 Float to other units as needed Take 4-5 call shifts with a required 30-minute callback within a 6 week schedule Work 4-5 weekend shifts and at least 1-2 major holidays per contract Proficiency with DaVinci Xi robot required; DV5 DaVinci robot familiarity preferred Charting using EPIC, with EPIC experience heavily preferred Expected to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays; no time off approved between Christmas and New Year's Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract will be approved Could care for COVID patients Tobacco and fragrance free facility Orientation modules to be completed prior to start (estimated 5-6 hours) Travel pairs are permitted, but matched schedules are not guaranteed Requirements Active PA or compact RN license with no license hits Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience Level I trauma experience required, Level II with over 1 year may be considered Previous travel nursing experience required Must be able to independently scrub and circulate Proficiency with DaVinci Xi robot required; other robotic experience (ortho / neuro robots) not applicable Experienced in robotics, ortho, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma BLS certification through AHA or ARC Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619121.
