Mechanical Design Engineering Co-Op

Spacesaver Corporation – Fort Atkinson, WI

Start : January 2026 – End : May 2026. 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Detail design and engineering documentation of Spacesaver product lines.
  • Contribute to the design of new products by providing ideas, concepts, analysis, critical thinking, and documentation.
  • Participate in prototype building and testing, and report test results.
  • Maintain existing products to support performance, manufacturing, quality, and cost improvements.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated solid modeling and drafting capability, preferably with ProEngineer / Creo; AutoCAD experience is also beneficial.
  • Experience with sheet-metal design and modeling is preferred.
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet use.
  • Strong oral, written, organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects under time constraints with accurate and complete results.
  • Ability to participate and / or conduct prototype builds, testing, and report results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively with all personnel throughout the organization.
