Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead and oversee daily field operations, as well as business development in residential and light commercial sales, vendor and supplier relationship development, primarily in the Fort Bend County area. An active Texas HVAC Contractor license and valid Texas driver's license is required. Any application / resume that does not expressly state this will not be considered. At launch, the role will be sales-focused, and will include technical field work as needed. The ideal candidate is willing to operate in a scrappy, fast-changing environment with aggressive growth goals. Compensation includes commission and bonus incentives. As the business reaches revenue, cash flow, and profitability benchmarks, the role will evolve to include more traditional GM responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction..
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve market share.
Lead outside sales initiatives, focusing on light commercial business development to expand the customer base.
Manage vendor, supplier, and partner relationships, ensuring high levels of retention, referrals, and new business opportunities.
Collaborate with owner on marketing strategies, particularly grass-roots opportunities, that enhance brand visibility and attract new clients.
Utilize Service Titan for tracking all CRM activities, including lead management, scheduling, sales performance, and analyzing data for informed decision-making.
Conduct negotiations with clients to secure contracts that align with company objectives and compliance with industry regulations.
Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement through effective leadership and mentoring of staff.
In conjunction with owner, analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business development.
Qualifications
Active Texas HVAC Contractor license required.
Valid Texas Driver's License required.
Bi-lingual strongly preferred.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proven management experience with strong leadership and development capabilities.
Experience in residential and light commercial sales, with emphasis on up-selling and cross-selling, always focusing on the best interest of the customer first.
Demonstrated ability to seek and secure referrals and reviews.
Proficient in Service Titan or similar CRM systems for account management and analysis.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Exceptional customer service orientation with a focus on building long-term relationships. Demonstrated mastery of listening skills and the ability to adapt to the preferred communication style of the customer or partner.
Ability to motivate teams towards achieving common goals while promoting a positive work environment.
