Our company is seeking a Marketing Assistant to assist the marketing department with its initiatives and campaigns. Day to day, you will help to create and / or co-ordinate content, track results, build relationships with our sales team, and otherwise support the implementation of all marketing strategies. Often, you will act as the intermediary between Marketing, Operations and other teams within our organization.

This Marketing assistant will support the work of our Chief Marketing Officer, Sarah Burgett, as well as our executives on projects directed at maximizing company profits by developing sales strategies and marketing campaigns. This Marketing assistant will provide support for marketing teams and campaigns. While some of their work is administrative, they can also be involved in creative tasks such as writing marketing copy, managing social media accounts and coordinating press releases.

This Marketing assistant will also often work closely with colleagues in other teams such as sales, advertising, market research, production and distribution. They will often use data to analyze the success of marketing work, so the role is a good way to learn how to develop effective campaigns.

In addition to working in the marketing department, the marketing assistant may be called upon at times to perform routine / admin tasks in any department of REST. We as a company tend to wear as many hats as needed for our concept to be completely 5-star service / guest-oriented.

Responsibilities Monitor and report on email, digital, social media and content marketing campaigns.

Assist with maintaining and developing databases and mailing lists.

Maintain a directory and inventory of marketing, sales and office support materials.

Take notes, type up documents, populate spreadsheets and input data.

Schedule and arrange meetings and travel itineraries.

Compiling and distributing information such as website and social media analytics.

Monitoring social media accounts, creating content and responding to messages.

Analyzing questionnaires.

Responding to reviews.

Contributing ideas to marketing campaigns.

Writing marketing and website text.

Organizing presentations and events.

Assisting with promotional activities.

Liaising with customers / external agencies.

Helping to organize market research.

Assisting with operations tasks.

Helping with the flow of communication in all departments.

Compensation & Perks Graduate salaries for marketing assistants range from $28,000 - $38,000. You will be provided a performance appraisal after your 90-day probationary period. It is likely at that time you will receive a wage increase.
