Role Mission : The Bus Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety of students by providing supervisory monitoring of students during transportation to / from school and on trips. Bus Monitors particularly ensure the safety of our youngest scholars (i.e. Pre-Kindergarten students) and special education scholars.

Compensation : Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate of $12.00. This role is part-time.

Competencies : Enjoys working with children, manages students in a firm and fair manner, strong communication skills with students and staff, flexibility to change, promptness and dependability, ability to learn systems and procedures quickly.

Qualifications : Education : HS diploma, experience working with students (preferred).

Accountabilities : Provide a safe and orderly environment for students during transportation, supervise students loading and unloading the bus / van and during transportation, provide other support as requested, in order to ensure safe and efficient school operations at all times.
