American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology / Oncology night shift position requiring an OK or compact RN license and specialized chemotherapy certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Hospital setting in the Pediatric Hematology / Oncology unitPrimarily cares for pediatric patients with cancer or blood disordersNight shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per weekNo local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radiusResponsible for providing care to an assigned group of pediatric oncology patients, including administering medications, monitoring physiological data, and assisting physicians with proceduresMust be able to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services while maintaining effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare teamDocumentation of patient responses and changes in condition is requiredExpectations include interacting with families during hospitalization and discharge planningMust be able to delegate tasks appropriately to support staffReturning travelers are subject to a 6-month separation period after a total of 26 weeks of work before they may return\n \n Requirements\n
Active OK or compact RN licenseMinimum of one year recent pediatric oncology nursing experienceAssociate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program requiredCurrent BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association requiredAPHON Chemotherapy and Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration (ONS) certifications requiredACLS (AHA) required\n Benefits\n
