Type of Position :
This position will begin as a 12-month contract, with strong potential for long-term employment. While the contract is initially set for 12 months, there is no fixed end date, and extensions beyond the initial term are possible. Conversion to a direct hire role may occur as early as 4 months, depending on individual performance and business needs. Although direct hire is not guaranteed, it is a common outcome for high-performing team members, and most contractors in this role do transition to permanent positions over time.

Compensation :
$28.00 / hr to $33.00 / hr (depending on experience) to start. Overtime is paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

Job Description :
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major automotive manufacturer to hire a Business Analyst to support the automotive aftermarket tools and e-business systems of a global vehicle manufacturer. This position provides second-level system and website support for aftermarket products sold outside dealership networks and assists with ongoing website enhancement projects. Youll work closely with IT, compliance, and customer support teams to troubleshoot user issues, coordinate website updates, manage reporting, and perform daily compliance checks. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a hybrid environment with both routine and project-based responsibilities.
What Youll Do :
Provide second-level support for aftermarket tools and web systems, resolving issues escalated from the help desk.
Perform daily export screening and compliance reviews for user accounts.
Assist with website enhancement projects, including testing, documentation, and rollout communication.
Manage special access requests and account updates for end users (independent repair facilities, educators, government agencies, etc.).
Create and maintain help desk tickets, track progress, and coordinate IT communication for outages or releases.
Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports and dashboards for leadership.
Coordinate internal meetings, manage agendas, and track project action items.
Collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders to ensure consistent data management and access.
Skills, Education, Experience Required :
2 to 3 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket (as little as 1 year may be considered)
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (used frequently for reporting and presentations)
Ability to handle multiple priorities, perform daily repetitive tasks (export screening), and manage long-term projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and manage data accurately
Comfortable working cross-functionally with IT, legal, and field service teams
High level of professionalism and accountability in a customer-facing support rol
Skills, Education, Experience Preferred :
Bachelors degree preferred (open to equivalent experience)
Experience working in a dealership environment or supporting service operations
Familiarity with eCommerce systems, technical support processes, or aftermarket tools
Understanding of service operations within dealerships or the independent automotive repair industry
Experience working within the automotive aftermarket or related industry associations
Work Environment / Other Info :
This will be a 1st (day) shift role, usually 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm (with some flexibility) - Monday to Friday.
This is a hybrid role. 3 days on-site (Tue to Thu) in Warren, MI; remote work on Mon & Fri.
There may be occasional (rare) overtime. Any OT would be compensated at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
There will be extensive training / support provided in this role (especially on aftermarket systems).
Offer may be contingent upon a background check and a drug screen (drug screen would NOT include cannabis).
