Our Consumer Lending Department empowers families by providing simple, transparent, and personalized financing solutions for home remodeling projects such as roofing, siding, and windows.
Role Overview
The 2nd Look Credit Specialist plays a crucial role in turning declined applications into approved solutions. When a homeowner's initial financing is declined, this specialist steps in to find creative alternativeswhether that's navigating specialized "bad credit" lending partners, exploring secondary financing programs, or helping homeowners leverage personal resources such as retirement savings (401k, IRA), home equity, or other viable payment methods.
This role requires both financial expertise and empathy : balancing knowledge of credit-challenged lending with the ability to guide homeowners through sensitive conversations about urgent home needs.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
2+ years in consumer lending, finance, mortgage, or home improvement financing.
Strong knowledge of credit score impact, subprime / 2nd look programs, and creative funding strategies.
Comfortable navigating conversations around sensitive financial situations.
Excellent communication skillsable to build trust with homeowners and sales teams.
Problem-solver with persistence to "find a way to yes."
Familiarity with retirement accounts, personal loan processes, and credit union financing a plus.
CRM or finance platform experience preferred.

$60,000 - $65,000 first-year salary range (Base salary plus commission and bonuses)
