Litigation Attorney

_Morgan Akins & Jackson, a respected insurance defense firm with offices in seven states, has an immediate opening for a litigation associate in our Lexington, KY office. The candidate would be involved in litigation for general civil insurance defense matters, as well as workers' compensation matters. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 2-4 years of litigation experience in the relevant fields, including experience reviewing and analyzing medical records, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for hearing or trial. Civil practice and / or workers' compensation experience preferred. A portable book of business is a plus. Candidates should have excellent research, writing, analytical and communication skills, as well as attention to detail._

_A license to practice in Kentucky is required. Additional state licensures are a plus but not required._

_Salary is commensurate with experience._
