4D Med / Surg Unit at Blodgett Hospital

4D is a 22 bed Med / Surg unit at Blodgett Hospital that cares for the general medical and surgical patients. Employees are often drawn to 4D for the variety of patients and the team environment. Our staff become competent in caring for a large array of both surgical and medical patients. Specifically, our team is known as being experts in nasogastric tubes, urinary catheters, and urologic care, managing enteral and parenteral feeding, and managing the care of wounds, ostomies, tubes and drains.

Scope of Work

Performs receptionist / secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs computer entry, schedules tests / procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit / hospital standard within a reasonable time frame.
