Job Summary

This job provides safe, effective, and motivating group fitness classes for participants of all levels. Provides cutting-edge classes, promotes fitness and positive self-esteem, provides leadership while educating, monitoring and encouraging all participants from beginners to the advanced exerciser, and stays abreast of all current fitness trends.

Responsibilities

• Executes classes within program guidelines.
• Maintains certifications for the specific group fitness class taught.
• Performs general duties such as class maintenance and substitution.
• Ensures customer service and safety throughout class.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Medium Work : exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time. There is no occupational risk for exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue. Occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within healthcare environment may exist depending on duties.
