Join a stable and growing electronics manufacturing company on Madison's west side (University Research Park). We're hiring Automation Technicians to support our production team. This role is open to candidates with a range of experience, from those with entry-level skills to those with more advanced expertise in automation and electronics manufacturing.

Shifts Available :

First Shift : Monday - Thursday, 5 : 30 am - 3 : 00 pm & Friday, 5 : 30 am - 9 : 30 am

Second Shift : Monday - Thursday, 2 : 45 pm - 12 : 45 am

Job Description - Automation Technician

As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and fine-tuning programs on automated equipment used in circuit board assembly. We're looking for candidates with varying levels of experience-whether you're starting your career or have more advanced skills, there's room for growth and advancement in this role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Support and monitor automated machinery for circuit board assembly.
  • Adjust machines to meet quality standards and resolve production issues.
  • Assist with machine maintenance, repairs, and prototypes as needed.
  • Monitor processes and log results accurately.
  • Fill in for Machine Operators when required.
  • Support workflow in the department and follow all safety / quality procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications :

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Computer Programming, PC Repair, Automotive, CNC, or related field (experience may substitute).
  • Mechanical aptitude : ability to take machines apart and reassemble.
  • Knowledge of printed circuit board automation a plus.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word).
  • Strong hand-eye coordination for working with small electronic parts.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
  • Good communication skills to work in a team environment.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Stand or sit for long periods with minimal breaks.
  • Perform repetitive tasks with hands and tools.
  • Good close vision and ability to distinguish colors / fine details.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
