Job Title : Laboratory Assistant I

Job Description

A Laboratory Assistant will work in a high-volume, production-based environment performing essential components of clinical lab science.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and / or enter specimen and patient information into the system.
• Ensure that all lab equipment is functioning properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen-related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and production-oriented, requiring the ability to meet established turnaround times. The position may require sitting and / or standing for extended periods. Flexibility in working hours, including overtime, is necessary to meet the demands of the job.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00 / hr.
