Description
Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a 6-month contractor to support our US / CA Distribution & Logistics organization with a dual focus on strategic projects and operational support. This role is split between partnering with Distribution Center (DC) leadership on 3PL 4-wall management and providing on-site transportation oversight at our Groveport, OH distribution center. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance daily operational needs with higher-level strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
US Outbound Transportation (60%)
Provide on-site supervision of daily outbound transportation activities at the Groveport, OH 3PL facility.Report directly to the Sr. Manager, US / CA Outbound Transportation (remote), while collaborating closely with the broader transportation team.Partner with the 3PL’s routing lead to ensure timely and accurate routing for prepaid freight.Troubleshoot day-to-day issues as they arise, leveraging on-site presence to drive quick resolutions.Support operational excellence initiatives by monitoring execution and escalating issues as needed.Provide general administrative support to the team on key projects and ad hoc needs.3PL Operations Support (40%)
Provide general operational support for the Levi’s Groveport DC Director.Standardize operational reporting and facilitate execution of ad hoc reporting requests.Monitor KPIs and operational metrics and support the Groveport operations team in resolving issues and driving performance.Assist in preparing business performance materials, including monthly business reviews and key performance updates.Qualifications
5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related field.Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to partner effectively across on-site and remote teams.Experience working with 3PLs or transportation providers preferred.Strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to distill data into insights for leadership.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
