Location : Alsip, IL

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 4 : 00pm - 12 : 30am

Pay Range : Starting Pay is based on experience between $22.75 -$26.00 per hour.

Job Overview :

The CNC Machine Operator is an experienced machine operator who is disciplined, creative and an excellent problem solver who will thrive in our lean manufacturing environment. A successful candidate is a reliable individual who is able to read blueprints and hold tight tolerances with a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities :

Follow Standard Work Machine set up, running parts and preventative maintenance (PM).

Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations and / or operate other equipment, including the selection and presetting of tools which will be required for the next scheduled job.

Update and maintain all visual controls and Create and / or support countermeasures and operate in and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Participate and engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and '5 Whys' problem-solving exercises.

Resolve and / or report equipment abnormalities.

Follow company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co-workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.

Requirements :

At least 3+ (three) or more years of CNC maintenance mechanic experience

At least 3+ (three) or more years navigating CNC controls including OSP, Fanuc, Haas controls.

At least 3+ (three) or more years of experience troubleshooting / repairing and training others on turret alignment, spindle / motor replacements, and other machine components rebuilds.

At least 3+ (three) or more years repairing and installing various voltages as needed for CNC equipment.

At least 3+ (three) or more years designing and implementing new hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

At least 3+ (three) or more years of experience identifying, developing and performing required daily / weekly / monthly / semi-annual and annual maintenance on all CNC equipment.

Preferences :

Proficiency in Fanuc robots a plus

Proficiency in simple fabrication and welding applications

Physical Demands :

Ability to lift a maximum of 40 lbs.

Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Works within a manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals

Travel & Work Arrangements / Requirements :

This position will be fully site based at our facility in Alsip, IL.

Starting Pay will range from $22.75 - $26.00per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.

Union Relationship :

We proudly partner with District No. 8 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers with a closed shop, which means that all hourly employees are union members.

New employees are regarded as probationary for the first 60 working days of their employment.

After probation, the employee will join the union with an initiation fee and monthly dues.
