The company is seeking an experienced Data Engineer 5 to join our cutting-edge data team at our Beaverton World Headquarters. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data systems that transform raw data into actionable insights, enabling business leaders to make informed decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for data engineering experts who thrive in a collaborative, innovative, and fast-paced environment.

As a Data Engineer , you will work with large datasets, integrate diverse data sources, and ensure seamless data flow across multiple platforms. Your expertise will directly impact the company's ability to leverage data for strategy, analytics, and operational excellence.

Schedule : Onsite (Monday-Friday, 9 AM- 5 PM)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust database management systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Establish standards, guidelines, and best practices for database deliverables, including conceptual design, logical database models, and capacity planning.
  • Build complex ETL pipelines and develop programs to efficiently collect, transform, and load large datasets.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and system engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and interfaces that support business needs and operational objectives.
  • Participate in quality assurance, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives for data systems.
  • Provide expertise in relational database modeling, table / field design, and optimization for large-scale data storage.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices for data engineering and platform development.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees or equivalent experience considered :
  • PhD or Law + 8 yrs experience
  • Master's + 9 yrs experience
  • Associate degree + 11 yrs experience
  • High School diploma + 12 yrs experience
  • Minimum 10 years of directly relevant experience, including significant experience as a business / process leader or industry expert.
  • On-site presence required at the company's WHQ in Beaverton for a hybrid schedule (4 : 1).
  • Technical expertise (4-6 years minimum) :
  • Databricks
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Apache Spark
  • Python
  • PySpark
  • Previous experience at the company or familiarity with the company systems is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies :

  • Expert in database design, data modeling, and relational database architecture.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.
  • Ability to handle large-scale data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data quality.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical solutions to stakeholders.
