Maintains and operates pools, hot tubs, and pool support areas according to company standards and in compliance with local authority having jurisdiction statutes, codes, and applicable laws. Maintain a functional and organized pump room environment : Filters are backwashed, pump filter baskets are clear, chlorine pumps are functional, lines are clean, chemical controllers are calibrated and functional.

Accurately records and reports water chemistry. Provides exceptionally clear and well-balanced water in all bodies of water.

Essential Functions

• Tests water chemistry in pools and hot tubs, using test kit, adjusting chemicals where necessary, maintains all chemicals within authority having jurisdiction guidelines.
• Records water chemistry readings daily.
• Provides a high quality guest experience.
• Cleans pool filters according to prescribed procedures.
• Maintains vacuuming schedule for each body of water.
• Cleans pool, pool decks, coping, skimmers, pool tile, and pool equipment rooms.
• Repairs and replaces all pumps, pump motors, chemical feed controls, pool plumbing, decking, ladders / steps, heaters, underwater lighting, and main grates.
• Delivers chemicals and other supplies to pools
• Leaves work area in clean and safe condition.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Position requires frequent movement including walking, standing, bending / stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements. Some duties will be performed while wearing personal protective equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds aided or with equipment.
