Overview
Our client, a local family owned General Contractor, is currently seeking a BIM Manager to work out of their Waldwick, NJ office.
The BIM manager will lead the offices BIM program including in-house Design and Construction phases.
As a growing family-owned business, they are looking for an individual who is a self-motivated team player and is excited at the opportunity to grow with the company.
Responsibilities : Lead BIM implementation by establishing standards, working with both design consultants and trade sub-contractors.
- Provide BIM model quality control and develop BIM execution plans.
- Support in-house architectural division with design-phase models (LOD 100300).
- Lead BIM implementation, coordination, estimating, clash detection, and QA / QC during construction phase (LOD 350 and 400)
- Develop as-built models for building management with facilities maintenance data (LOD 500)
- Work with lead architects and construction project managers to establish and adhere to project schedules.
- Coordinate with project consultants from all disciplines including civil, structural and MEP and IT.
- Assist in producing construction documents in Autodesk Revit.
- Assist project management team with construction administration tasks as necessary.
Qualifications / Skills BIM Management for transportation projects a plus.
Familiarity of PANYNJ VDC requirements and BIM standards.Excellent oral and written communication.Analytical and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail.Ability to work under indirect supervision.Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability.Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone, acquiring new skills.Technically creative and open-minded.Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements :
Bachelors or Masters degree in architecture or engineering from an accredited institution.
5-years min proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office suite is required.Minimum of 8-10 years experienceOffer :
