Job Overview
Seeking a Full-Time Associate to join our growing Healthcare Industry Vertical within Citi's Commercial Bank (CCB). Target market includes companies in the Medical Device, Tools & Diagnostics, Life Sciences, Digital Health and Healthcare Services industry sub-segments. This is an opportunity to support new business development, as well as day-to-day management of existing relationships. Candidate will gain significant experience in debt, equity and the various financial solutions across Citi's global network including cash management, rates and FX. The Associate Program strives to bring in the best and brightest talent to develop into the next generation of commercial banking leaders.
Responsibilities
- Function as a Healthcare industry expert conducting comprehensive company and industry research
- Support senior bankers in new client acquisition, driving business generation, and maintaining day-to-day client relationships and strategic initiatives
- Own the client experience by partnering with bankers and product teams to identify client needs and leverage appropriate product solutions
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling, including company valuations, discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, and pro-forma analyses
- Play a key role in deal management and the preparation of high-quality client presentations, pitch books, prospect memos, and other client-related decks
- Support the end-to-end credit process, encompassing new origination, commercial loan underwriting, structuring, documentation, and the monitoring of assigned credit portfolios
- Cultivate strong relationships with key internal partners across all Citi platforms (e.g., Product, Credit Risk, In-Business Controls, Legal, Marketing, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams) to meet client needs
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the CCB target market, value proposition, client coverage model, and various credit product types to effectively align solutions with client needs
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, Citi's policies / guidelines, and credit procedures, always demonstrating sound ethical judgment and robust risk assessment in all business decisions
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

2 or more years of related work experienceHealthcare industry experience with proficient knowledge of banking productsKnowledge of accounting, finance and creditAbility to work effectively in team settingRelationship management experienceExcellent analytical and cash-flow modeling skillsStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsQuality analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applicationsMust be able to secure and / or maintain SIE, 63 and 79 securities licensesEducation
Bachelor's / University degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
