Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Technician to support customers with the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of advanced CNC machinery and automation systems. This field-based role includes mentoring junior technicians and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, deep CNC knowledge, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. This role involves regular travel to customer sites and demands a commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Troubleshooting & Repair
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software issues on CNC equipment.Installation & Commissioning
Lead machine installation efforts, including leveling, alignment, calibration, and functional testing at customer sites.Preventive Maintenance
Implement and perform scheduled maintenance programs to ensure optimal machine performance and reliability.Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
Support and train junior technicians by sharing best practices and providing on-the-job guidance.Customer Interaction
Collaborate directly with customers to provide technical solutions, operational guidance, and performance improvement recommendations.CNC Controls Support
Configure and troubleshoot major CNC control systems, including Fanuc, Siemens, and others. Perform necessary software or firmware updates.Service Documentation
Maintain clear service records, issue reports, and communicate findings to technical and engineering teams for continuous improvement.Emergency Service
Respond to urgent service calls quickly to minimize machine downtime and production interruptions.Safety & Compliance
Follow all relevant safety procedures, industry regulations, and site-specific guidelines.Qualifications
Deep understanding of CNC systems, electrical schematics, and mechanical componentsExperience with control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, and others commonly used in manufacturingKnowledge of PLCs, servo motors, drives, and automation hardwareProficient in diagnostic tools such as laser calibration and ball bar testingStrong communication and documentation skillsAbility to lead field projects and mentor less experienced techniciansEducation & Experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent work experience8+ years of hands-on experience servicing CNC equipmentStrong background in interpreting schematics and machine documentationExperience training operators or maintenance teams is a plusTravel & Physical Requirements
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight trips as neededMust have a valid driver’s license and clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks such as bending, crawling, and climbing ladders (up to 8 feet)Capable of driving to and working at customer sites daily
