American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position working nights, requiring a NY license and advanced trauma skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a combined Adult / Pediatric Emergency Department settingNight shift schedule consisting of 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00Patient population includes adults and pediatrics with trauma, neuro, and cardiac casesCare for patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, ortho-trauma, and ventilated patientsProcedures involve triage, IV therapy, phlebotomy, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, CPAP / BiPAP, and ABG interpretationEpic charting system experience is requiredTravelers may not have worked at any Guthrie facility within the past yearStroke education of 8 hours required annually; can be completed on first day if not currentNavy blue scrubs are requiredResponsible for triaging and caring for high acuity pediatric and adult cases in a fast-paced ED environment\n \n Requirements\n
Active NY RN license in hand required at the time of considerationMinimum of 2 years recent ED experience requiredCurrent BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications requiredExperience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias requiredFEMA awareness is necessaryExperience with continuous IV sedation and ICP monitoring requiredMust live more than 50 miles from the facility; locals are not acceptedEpic EMR proficiency requiredFirst time travelers are not accepted\n Benefits\n
