Summary

The Pump Mechanic will repair / fabricate a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, gear reducers and related rotating equipment, troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect and repair a variety of rotating equipment including centrifugal pumps (both single and multi-stage), gear pumps, reciprocating pumps and metering pumps, gear reducers, blowers (both vacuum and pressure), mechanical seals, and many other types of equipment.

Responsibilities of the Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to :

• Repair / fabricate a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, gear reducers and related rotating equipment
• Troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect and repair a variety of rotating equipment including centrifugal pumps (both single and multi-stage), gear pumps, reciprocating pumps and metering pumps, gear reducers, blowers (both vacuum and pressure), mechanical seals, and many other types of equipment
• Install equipment using manufacturer specifications ensuring proper alignment balance and tolerances
• Read and understand an IOM and BOM
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to all safety procedures and regulations

Additional Information

Physical demand : Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and ability to stand for long durations

Working Conditions : Climate controlled shop environment

Training / Certifications : Professional skill training is a plus

Shift Time / Overtime : Typical work is 7 : 30am - 4 : 30pm and occasional overtime may be required

Travel : Occasional overnight driving might be required. Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines

Education : High School Diploma or GED. Vocational, industrial or mechanical education is a plus but not required
