  • Unit : Med / Surg Telemetry Ortho Unit 7K (28 beds)\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)\n
  • Start Date : November 3, 2025\n
  • End Date : January 31, 2026\n
  • Duration : 13-week travel nurse contract\n
  • Shift : 12-hour nights (PM); every other weekend and holiday\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience required\n
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n
  • Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)\n
  • Experience with surgical drains and post-op orthopedic patients preferred\n
  • Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes\n
  • Administer medications and manage IV drips, including Heparin and PCA (morphine, Dilaudid)\n
  • Provide care for patients with orthopedic injuries (backs, necks, knees, hips), trauma, and complex medical conditions\n
  • Manage lines, drains, and devices such as Hemovac, True-close, and JP drains\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient care coordination\n
  • Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process\n
  • Utilize Alaris pumps, hercules beds, and manage oxygen therapy as needed\n
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the healthcare setting\n
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to infection control and hospital protocols\n
