Chemours is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our growing Manufacturing Technology team. This position will be available at the Washington Works site in Parkersburg, WV and report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager.
Engineers in this role will be expected to deliver improvements in reliability and preventative maintenance that deliver cost and capacity improvements to their assigned business. This role will require data analysis, Root Cause Analysis, troubleshooting, developing repair plans and improvement strategies. This role will involve individual activities and working as part of a team with other Engineers, Mechanics, Operators & project teams.
Responsibilities
- Leading the development of asset management plans and preventive / predictive maintenance programs.
- Providing mechanical engineering assistance to maintenance and operations including troubleshooting, evaluation of equipment failures, and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades, and ownership of improvements.
- Ensuring maintenance and reliability work management processes are effectively implemented, utilized, and improved.
- Leading & participating on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) teams related to Reliability & Safety events.
- Identify failure modes and effects based on equipment type, materials of construction, and operating conditions.
- Leading Area teams through quarterly reviews of Reliability Performance including corrective action development.
- Identify critical spares required to deliver the level of reliability required.
- Initiate management of change (MOC) documents as needed to make improvements in the production area.
- Participate in the Design for Reliability, Maintenance, and Inspection process (D4RMI) for new equipment including capital projects, as assigned.
- Lead or participate in site programs, such as vibration monitoring, lubrication analysis, thermography, etc., as assigned.
Required Qualifications
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.7+ years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated ability to perform as an individual contributor.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.Strong technical and analytical skills.Root Cause Analysis experience.Ability to Troubleshoot.Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineering in a manufacturing environment.Professional Reliability Certification, ex. CRE, CRP, CRL, SMRP.Strong working knowledge of SAP-PM, SAP-MM & Maintenance Work Management Systems.Familiar with or certification in national standards such as API 510, API 570 & API 653.Exposure to Process Safety Management methodologies.Experience in a High Hazard Process environment.Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.Benefits and Compensation package
