Job Summary :
The PLC Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and programming automated control systems used in production and manufacturing processes. This role requires strong technical and analytical skills, as well as the ability to manage data and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and related automation equipment.
Use Python and other programming tools to support automation processes, data collection, and system optimization.
Monitor, analyze, and adjust PLC logic to improve efficiency, product quality, and safety.
Work with multiple spreadsheets to track maintenance schedules, production data, and system performance metrics.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to diagnose and resolve automation-related issues.
Perform regular backups of PLC programs and maintain accurate documentation.
Assist in the design and integration of new automation systems.
Manage a dynamic workload efficiently , balancing multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
Ensure all work complies with company safety and operational standards.
Qualifications :
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
Proficiency in Python for automation or data processing applications.
Strong computer skills, including Excel and managing complex spreadsheets.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
