Position Summary :

Guerdon LLC is seeking a talented Structural Drafter I . In this position you will be responsible for structural framing aspects of all assigned project(s), including the recommendation of structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Review construction documents for conformance with project and factory standards.
Coordinate with Guerdon team at all project phases and disciplines.
Generate BIM framing models for floor / ceiling and / or walls.
Coordinate with other drafting disciplines for model clash detection.
Generate fabrication drawings for in-house factory construction.
Monitor progress of manufacturing in conformance with fabrication drawings and collaborate with manufacturing on all inquiries.
Complete all additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements :

Associates degree / diploma in drafting preferred or 5+ related work experience.

Familiarity with basic elements of building / construction practices; wood framing a plus.

2 years of experience with BIM modeling software; Revit a plus.

Maturity, confidence, and ability to earn respect and trust from the team.

Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism.

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and reach, stoop, kneel.

Light to moderately lifting is required.

Moderate noise (i.e., business offices with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).

Ability to work in shared space.
