The SVP, Analytics will support Horizon's Chief Analytics Officer's mission to drive business transformation through data across our entire client roster. They will oversee the teams that turn data into actionable information and insights to inform and support strategy, channel planning and activation solutions.

To provide value to stakeholders, this person will understand the business needs of Horizon Media and the breadth of clients we serve. The SVP will work closely with The VP's that manage client teams, the SVP of Analytics Operation and the Advanced Analytics group. They will also collaborate with the Chief Data Officer and Chief Information Officer, to support collecting, combining, maintaining, and visualizing integrated data. The role will also lead training and development of internal talent. They will also be a key lead in new business pitches with the intention to grow our client roster.

The role involves cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of parties including clients. Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities are a necessity for success.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Consult and work with internal client leads and clients themselves to determine their "burning questions" and offer analytic-based solutions within and across all media channels.
  • Provide thought leadership and offer subject matter leadership in the designing of analytic methodology and approach.
  • Oversee the individual client teams to ensure they are offering optimal solutions based on best practices and in keeping with the vision of Horizon's analytic offering.
  • Work alongside the Advanced Analytic team to be able to speak knowledgeably to clients and prospective clients about our products and solutions.
  • Work with the Analytic Operations group and the Chief Data Officer to put automation and technology to use in order to increase efficiency and to provide the infrastructure to scale.
  • Willing and able to lead and operate in a fast-paced, with multiple projects occurring simultaneously and tight deadlines.
  • Support talent growth providing an experience that enriches each individual's experience.
  • Collaborate with other key executives on client needs and strategic imperatives.
  • Actively participate and contribute to new business RFI's, pitches and presentations. The level of involvement will vary based on scope from analytic credentials to detailed, specific solution recommendations.

Key Relationships : Internal :

  • Analytic client-assigned teams The teams that are led by a VP and are immersed in each client's business.
  • Analytic Client Service Teams (Brand) Interaction for addressing each client's specific business challenges and opportunities. These teams are led by SVP's / EVP's.
  • Activation (TV, digital, print, etc.) Develop tools and systems that can aid in improving targeted, effective buying. Bring more automation to their daily work.
  • Insights (Channel and Consumer) Connect and merge data into current and new proprietary tools.
  • Data team Work to support their data warehouse, lake and identify the needs for improved analytics.
  • External :

  • Vendors : Evaluate and purchase software.
  • Clients : Distill the complex into the simple in communications for client meetings and presentations.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • Oversee a department of 4-7 Analytics professionals.
  • Train and lead high performing teams.
  • Knowledge and Skills Required :

  • 1-2+ years of experience in an analytics capacity and / or business intelligence.
  • 2+ years of media or creative agency experience is preferred.
  • Digital investment experience a plus.
  • 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or Marketing Analytics preferred.
  • Understanding of predictive modelling, media mix optimization and statistics.
  • Experience with statistical software packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with complex data to create insights.
  • Proven ability to communicate data based concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Salary Range : $250,000.00 - $350,000.00. A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure / certifications, and qualifications for the role.
