Job Description

Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and / or cold food items for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold food items for different meal periods.
• Ensure food is prepared according to specified recipes and guidelines.
• Portion food items appropriately and present them appealingly.
• Maintain a clean and organized cooking area.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff for efficient meal preparation.

Work Environment

The role requires starting as early as 5 am, working 5 to 8-hour shifts up to 24 hours per week, including every other weekend. The position is within a large hospital cafeteria, potentially involving customer interaction or working behind the scenes in the kitchen. Employees must wear non-slip shoes, black pants, and a plain shirt. An overcoat or chef coat will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.79 - $18.79 / hr.
